Cheap Drone models for Beginners

Find yourself cheap drone for the first time flying. These models are under 100$ and still good enough to fly around.

Eachine H8 Mini drone costs only $13.99 on the online stores - The Eachine H8 Mini is the World’s cheapest quadcopter today. Sitting at the rock-bottom price of $13.99, this quad still comes with a fair amount of advanced features. It is quite good for beginners and to learn how to fly. It has one-press automatic return function which is quite cool. A single push of a button brings the drone flying back to you. With Headless Mode, you do not need to adjust the quad’s position before flying, and the H8 Mini offers 360 degree rolling. For that price there is nothing else you can ask for. While this drone is not the best you can find you will be hard pressed to find one with this price-to-features ratio.

FQ777-124 Pocket Drone you can buy for only $15.99 - Pocket Drone can be carried anywhere. Its transmitter doubles as a carrying case that can slip straight into your pocket. This drone comes with a propellor guard and landing skids, something you don’t get standard with most drones in this price range. LED lights are cool and they also make it suitable for flight in low-light conditions. It is cool enough to buy it for that price. Hope you will enjoy flying with it.

Cheerson CX-10 Mini drone costs $18.99 - This is a perfect quadcopter for beginners. Veterans will enjoy flying it as well. It’s great for all skill levels. Quadcopter is small and durable, so even if you do end up losing a few propellers, spare parts are inexpensive. Despite its size, it comes with a 6-axis flight control board in there for advanced maneuvers.

Buy yourself UDI U839 for just around $27 - The UDI U839 came out as a “clone” of the Proto X. With its 7mm diameter coreless motors, you will find this drone one of the most powerful mini-drones on the market. Its rubber feet make it great for hard landings, and it sports a high-speed mode for outdoor racing. One of its key features is the replaceable battery. When your first battery dies, simply swap it out for another one and you are good to go for a second round.

Estes 4606 Proto X Nano comes with $29.97 - Estes 4606 Proto X Nano is one of the smallest quads out there. Still they managed to fit 3 gyros and 3 accelerometers in there. This is not the drone to show off your best moves with, but for a beginner, it will get you airborne, learning the controls, and comfortable enough to move on to more expensive drones.

Hubsan X4 (H107L) costs $35.99 - Hubsan is a well known company producing drones. The Hubsan X4 is one of the most popular drones on the market. Why is that? Because it offers a great learning platform for beginners as well as the flight capabilities more advanced pilots want. The quad has two modes — beginner and expert. Beginner mode makes the controls less sensitive, giving you some leeway if you accidentally push one of the sticks too far. Control sensitivity doubles if you turn on expert mode. This mode is best once you have ever had a chance to get used to the controls, but it allows you to do back, front, and sideways flips. If you are looking for a quad you can fly indoors and gradually build your skills, the Hubsan X4 can be a reliable choice.

SYMA X5C for $43.99 - The Syma X5C is one of the more popular drones on the market. For this price, you get a stable quadcopter that can perform all of the maneuvers you want it to. It is quite good for beginners to learn how to fly. Also, this model is still enough for experts. You also get a 2MP camera with video capabilities. For a beginner pilot, photographer, or videographer, the X5C is a good start.

Hubsan X4 (H107C) - $79.99 - The X4 H107C is an upgraded version of the previous Hubsan quadcopter we discussed (the H107L). This model comes with a built-in 720 pixel camera. They included a more powerful battery and USA Toyz throws in an extra battery with this model and stronger motors to accommodate the extra weight/power from the camera, but its compact size still makes it an excellent indoor flyer. It is also one of the few micro-drones that can handle moderate to slightly heavy winds.

Eachine X6 Hexacopter for just around $60 - Eachine X6 Hexacopter offers a design unique from the rest of the drones on this list. It sports a 2MP camera, like the Syma X5C and JJRC H8C, with a micro SD slot. A key feature of this rig is its battery. With a charging time of about 40 minutes you will get a flight time of 10-12 minutes.

Jurassic UFO costs $72 - Jurassic UFO is one of the more durable quadcopters out there. As you can see by those propeller guards, they can take quite a beating. This makes it great for beginners, but more experienced pilots will enjoy this quad as well. The Jurassic UFO has a skillful 360 degree diversion (flip) capability. Mode 1 is best if you are taking photos or videos, and mode 2 allows for greater control in moderate wind.
